When Apple released their version of the MagSafe iPhone wallet, I really felt like there was a missed opportunity there to increase some of the function of a product like that.
Enter MOFT with their MagSafe compatible wallet and phone stand. MOFT takes that same theory and adds a stand capability to the design…so let’s take a look at it.

MOFT MagSafe iPhone Wallet and Stand Review
First let me say that I am a huge fan of slim wallets. I have gotten rid of the Constanza days a lot time ago so I like to see new ones when they come to market. The ability to attach a wallet to the back of your phone makes it so that you have one less thing to carry.
One problem. I didn’t want it to be permanent with adhesive.
When Apple released their MagSafe magnet setup inside the phone and cases, this really opened up the door for more options when it came to wallets.
MOFT Wallet / The Good
So let’s get into what I really liked about this wallet.
Overall, the build quality is nice. It isn’t on par with the Apple wallet but it also isn’t $60. At half the price…it is not half the quality. The feel of the material is nice. The stitching is straight. The color came out great and the branding is minimal. The MOFT wallet is also holding up well to pretty heavy use and time in the pocket of jeans without fraying edges.
As a wallet, it works out really well. MOFT says it can only hold three cards but I have found that you can do 3 credit cards and an ID easily without stretching the case. To extract the cards, the easiest way is to actually fold it down like it is for the stand and you have really easy access.
The MagSafe function is very secure. If you use a MagSafe case it is an even stronger attachment as the pull from 2 magnets (phone and case) is even stronger. I have had zero issues with the wallet moving or falling off during regular use.
The stand function also works just as advertised. The 3 different viewing options are great and I find myself putting it in the “floating function” a lot when the phone is sitting on my desk. The magnet provides a secure connection to the phone and it doesn’t slip. There are 16 built in magnets that make the function of the stand secure as well. You can feel the flaps snap into place as you convert the wallet from flat into a stand.
MOFT Wallet / The Bad
There are a couple of little annoyances with the wallet that are not deal breakers…but I thought I would mention.
If you are looking for a really premium wallet feel like the Apple Wallet, this is not it for two real reasons. First, the quality of the materials is not on par. Instead of that smooth leather feel, you get more of a textured plastic feel. It isn’t bad but it is worth noting.
Also, the stand function makes the back of the wallet have a lot of ridges which can feel a little different during normal phone use. I do prefer the flat feel of the Apple Wallet as it doesn’t take away from the experience when using the phone as…well…a phone.
One last thing that I am pretty sure will be a iPhone 12 Pro Max exclusive is that there is some instability when the stand is used in portrait mode. The wallet sits higher on the 12 Pro Max so the stand only has a small contact point with the desk in this mode which makes it less stable than it will be on the smaller phone variants.
Overall Thoughts on the MOFT Wallet
Bottom line…it performs exactly as advertised. It does a great job at holding a couple of cards and your ID and works great as a stand. I do have to carry a separate wallet in the car to hold my secondary essentials but for normal walkaround use…three cards and an ID are all I really need. Especially during COVID times where I am wearing athletic pants a lot more, it is great to have one less thing to carry around.
The little negatives that I have about the MOFT wallet are just that…little. I have started using this wallet as a daily driver for now and it has performed great.
