Welcome to RobbSutton.com, my outlet for all things related to growing a business, raising a new family and trying to find the balance between the two. Below you will find some more information about my personal and professional life.
About The Sutton Family
Economist by trade and marketing/social media strategist and blogger by day, I created this blog as an outlet and recording of our experiences in starting a family while also building a growing business.
My wife is an mechanical engineer and we reside in Alpharetta, GA with our two dogs. From the moment we decided to take our relationship the distance, we both knew we wanted to start a family.
Our Journey Wasn’t An Easy One
When we took on the journey of starting a family, we didn’t realize what was about to take place. After years of trying and several medical issues, we were told that having kids naturally was not going to be part of our plan. That started a series of meetings with reproductive therapists concluding that IVF was about the only route that was going to give us children.
While waiting on certain things to start to begin the IVF process for the first time, we were given a gift…an unexpected natural pregnancy during Christmas of 2010. Completely stoked and grateful, we started the progress of getting pregnant only to lose the baby mid to late January.
The experience is one that I wouldn’t wish on anyone. We made it through together and started the reproductive meetings once again.
While waiting the second time, we were given another amazing gift…another natural pregnancy.
I know what you are thinking…why are these people going to reproductive therapists and trying to pay for a kid when they keep on getting pregnant?! Well…we did try for a long time before going that route and apparently we only have about a 3-5% chance of getting pregnant. So the long story short…we are counting our blessings and taking everything as it comes. You can only make the best decisions you can with the information you have at the time.
So where we are, with our first child after the roller coaster that was 2011. Completely excited, clueless and ready for the adventure, we are taking each step as it comes. It is going to be a wild ride and one I am happy to share…the good, the bad and the hilariously funny as life changes for forever.
Thank you for joining us on this amazing ride.
I am the owner of oneninety8 Media and Bike198. My online life started with a simple idea…I wanted to write about mountain biking on a simple Blogger setup. Fast forward 7 months after that in 2008 and I was receiving in thousands of dollars worth of review product to serve reviews to my thousands of readers world wide. The experience has been a roller coaster and it has allowed me to do things in my life that I thought would never be possible.
oneninety8 Media is my marketing consulting firm in the Atlanta area that leverages the latest in the industry to help small to medium sized businesses attract more customers both online and off. It has allowed me to work with some amazing people and help them grow their dreams into reality.
