Design, colors, and durability
Apple kept the aluminum unibody with Ceramic Shield 2 on the front and Ceramic Shield on the back. IP68 rating is unchanged (6 meters up to 30 minutes, IEC 60529). Colors for both sizes: Black, Silver, Glacier, Burgundy.
If you owned a 17 Pro, cases should still fit — The Verge noted that compatibility. Weight ticked up slightly on the smaller Pro (211 g vs 206 g on 17 Pro per Verge’s table). The Max is still a two-hand phone for most people at 249 g.

Third-party battery notes: Tom’s Guide (via MacRumors) measured about 16h 17m for 18 Pro and 18h 27m for 18 Pro Max in their standard test, versus 15h 21m / 17h 54m for the 17 Pro / 17 Pro Max.
