RobbSutton.com is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.
What that means in practice
Some of the outbound product links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, the retailer pays this site a small commission. The price you pay is exactly the same either way. There is no surcharge, no special code, and no version of the product page that costs you more for having come from here.
That commission is what pays for the hardware that gets tested. Standing desks, wearables, cameras and smart home kit are not cheap, and most of what is reviewed here was bought at retail with my own money at the same price you would pay.
What it does not mean
It does not influence a verdict. Ever.
The practical test of that claim is simple, and you can check it yourself: plenty of reviews on this site end in “don’t buy this,” and those pages carry affiliate links too. If commission drove the conclusions, they wouldn’t. A recommendation is worth nothing if it is for sale, and a review site that sells its recommendations has no reason to exist.
Commission rates differ between product categories. Nothing on this site is ranked, ordered or recommended according to what it pays.
Review units and sponsorship
Most of what gets tested here was bought at retail. When a manufacturer supplies a review unit, that is stated in the review itself, near the top — not buried in a footer.
A supplied unit is never exchanged for a favourable verdict, and no manufacturer sees a review before it publishes. Sponsored posts, if any, are labelled as sponsored. Editorial opinions are mine.

Other programmes
Amazon is the main one. Where this site participates in another retailer’s or brand’s affiliate programme, the same rules apply: same price to you, no effect on the verdict, disclosed on the page.
