It’s Friday, I feel like kicking back and watching videos so I thought I would share one with you guys that gives a little insight into my weekend life. As you have probably already noticed, I do not post much on the weekends on this blog or my others. I typically use the weekends as a chance to get out and enjoy life outside of the weekly grind. Luckily, Bike198.com is my outlet for all things cycling related and it allows me to test out all of the newest gear in the industry.
This past weekend, I grabbed the Niner W.F.O. 9 review bike (those that don’t ride mtb have zero clue what that is!) and the VholdR ContourHD helmet cam to go get some riding done in Tennessee. As you can see by the video, there were leaves everywhere. So bad in fact, that it was hard to even see the trail! We had a blast anyway and the weather was perfect.
This particular sequence was on Chunky which is a moderate, more aggressive trail with drops, jumps and some good slow tech bouldering areas. Anyway…this gives you a little insight of the “work” I have to go through to produce content on Bike198. (It’s a tough life…but someone has to do it!)
Side note: Do a search for Niner W.F.O. 9 and click on those first results…does that site look familiar?! 😉 That is what you can get if you download Ramped Blogging and purchase Ramped Reviews.

Wow nice their Robb, seems like some pretty intense mountain biking you do! I liked how clear the video was. Seems like you enjoy your weekends huh?
Have to get out and enjoy life somehow! That is my form of relaxing…
Great video. I spend about 1/6 of my life on my mountain bike and I love it and not only weekends but during the week as well. Although, I’ve never gone into an adventure like yours. Sounds fun … to bad there are land mines in my local forest, those are just a bit too extreme for me 😉
I think land mines would be a little too extreme for me too!
Pretty rough terrian in the video. I’d like to get back to biking. Me and the GF are on a hiking kick these days. Hope that you enjoyed the weekend 🙂
There always needs to be a balance between work and play. This video is awesome my good friends get out often but on dirt bikes. Things are moving pretty quick on that video for moutain biking I have a whole new appreciation for it.
Thanks for reminding me to get out and enjoy things a little bit.
You always need to find a way to get out and enjoy life…no matter what you have going on.
We do some pretty crazy things on mountain bikes these days. Road gaps, big drops…it is a blast.
Hi Robb, I love your video, it sure looks fun, but I’ll have to enjoy mountain biking from the comfort of my computer. Please do another video. Love, Aunt Cathy
