Since this is a personal site as much as it is one about everything else, I thought I’d give you guys an update on what I have been up to lately.

Talking about Blogging

Just this week has been crazy busy. I got invited to speak at a marketing/internet conference in Atlanta, GA in September. That should be a great opportunity and it looks like I am going to get my own hour…plus the chance to sit on a panel. If any of you ever get the chance to present at an event in your niche…I highly recommend it. Not only does it give you even more credibility to build on, but it is an incredible experience.

The eBook on How To Get Products To Review On Your Blog

I know a lot of you are really anxious to get this section of your blogging going quickly. I am working feavorishly trying to get this eBook ready for release as soon as possible. I keep on running into an excellent problem…more great content and ideas that I am incorporating today that bring in 5 digit product values! I know…it’s crazy right now and I am going to share it all. It just takes time to get all of that information in one place. But it is coming… Continue reading What has Robb Sutton been up to?

halmarkCan I say out loud that I hate Valentine’s Day? It’s true, and it all stems from my huge dislike of being told what to do and when to do it.  Why should the retail world tell me when to be a nice guy? On top of that…they want to over charge me and tell every other guy in the world to do the exact same thing on the exact same day! It sounds kind of crazy when you really sit down and think about it. I sat my wife down one time while we were dating and threw a proposition at her.

Which would you like better?

Would you rather me get you flowers and take you out to dinner on an assigned day of the year?

or…

Would it be better if it happened randomly on say…March 3rd and you had no clue?

Any woman with a mind would say that they like the surprise better than the assigned day. Add to that…things are cheaper, flowers are easy to find and you get the satisfaction of the surprise!  It is really a win/win for everyone involved. Maybe I am over speaking here a little bit and some guys actually need a day like Valentine’s Day. They need a day they are told to be a decent human being. I don’t know…but I can tell you I am sick of fabricated, retail holidays where I am told I have to do something. Does it really come from the heart if you are told you have to?  I don’t think it does…

Every year, you are faced with what you want to do on your birthday. So what am I doing today?

Lets see…

  • I think I’ll play with the dogs for awhile in the new house that the wife and I moved into over the weekend.
  • Go out to breakfast with the parents.
  • Text my wife at work and heckle her for having to work today!
  • Go on a nice, cold, long road ride with some friends.
  • Clean up the house some and try to get the garage to a useable state.
  • Go eat some great food with friends for dinner.

Yeah…that sounds like a full enough day. If I have some time…I’ll get some web work done because we all know that I call it “work” to the wife…but it is what I enjoy doing.

Anyways…hope you guys have a great day!

I am going through a lot of internal struggles right now in the professional and personal realms. I watch individuals make it to positions of power and achieve success not through hard work and exceptional performance, but through back stabbing and the proverbial ass kissing. It absolutely baffles me how people like this get through life acting the way they do, and on top of that…they get rewarded for it.

I have gone through many ups and downs in my life, but I have always held the belief that if you work hard and stay true to who you are…good things will happen and you will enjoy success. During times like this, it is difficult to hold strong to those beliefs.

I need now, more than ever, to focus on the happy and positive things in my life. Continue reading Struggling To Find Meaning…
