Thank you very much for sharing this. It’s the most useful thing I’ve read today. I’m in Los Angeles and I have a ton of meetup groups I’m a member of. I’ve met all my surfing friends through a meetup group. I figured there bloggers meetup groups and given that I work in business development as a channel manager at a search marketing company, I think that there will be tremendous value personally and profesionally that can be gained from these things.

It was great to have you last night. I cant wait to share your ebooks with the group. They will get a lot of value from them.

I too got involved in Atlanta Bloggers and decided to head it up just like you said, as a pay it forward. We have the range of successful paid bloggers like yourself (I think you sat at Tom Royces table who has 200 blogs and you should also meet David Legget) all the way to the person you mentioned who has not even written a post.

We love to have the experiences that you have to share and hope you will come back and add more value to the group. I use my blog as a thought leadership platform and a way to make money indirectly so would love for you to share, If you are open, to lead the discussion on making money on your blog and how others might be able to do it. Will probably get some book sales.

Thanks again for coming. If I can ever do anything for you,let me know.

Thanks for your notes on the meetup! It reminded me that I’d yet to search for such networking and social opportunities in my neck of the woods, which is just silly the more that I think about it.

Just began following you yesterday and have already gleaned lots of useful info as I push myself into finally committing to the blogosphere, and sharing my passions.

I didn’t know a single one of them actually. Many of them are in niches that I probably wouldn’t have even searched for if it hadn’t been for meeting them face to face.

As a long time blogger, it’s amazing the sorts of people who go to these things, and you get a sense of just how big the blogosphere is. I wager you never knew of the bloggers until last night.

They are often for beginner bloggers, but still it’s fascinating to go to (like the “going back to your roots” analogy), and it’s a great way to network with new people – as a long time blogger going to one of these, it was funny when I announced I’d been blogging for 5 (at the time) years. I can only akin the response to when the 3 eyed aliens see the claw in Toy Story.
